  • Company secretary duties  for Prescribed Body Corporates, meeting all legislative requirements of  CATSI Act. 
  • Do discovery for diverse litigation legal clients.
  • Work as facilitator between Glencore Mining Directors and 12 person Board of native title body – Widi Aboriginal Corp.  Coordinated all cultural mapping activities for Glencore with a pool of 20 Traditional owners.
  • Coordinated: 4 major meetings in Brisbane for over 30 representatives – travel, accommodation and conference venue requirements & determination by the High Court in Nebo, Mackay region, 2019.   Liaised with Council for venue, police, and court officers. 
  • Coordinated following celebration event – venue, stages, generators, stage program, catering, decoration and all requirements for 500-person event on park area.   Used all Indigenous suppliers for event. 
  • Mediated fighting families at Determination.  Worked through conflict resolution process to aim to have two families listen to each other, find common ground and compromise toward solution to a long existing issue.  Parties both signed the contract.

  • Liaison with US Coast Guard Officers to change status of ship to research vessel.
  • International shipping industry conference attendances and presentations – London, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Jacksonville – promoting ship in order to score multi-million dollar contracts with BHP, Chevron & US Army. 
  • Turned $100,000 a year profit into 2.5-million-dollar profit business in 2 years.
  • Overseeing contracts, pays and travel plans of up to 20 crew.
  • Initiate and coordinate major community events on ship for public attendance e.g., Fleet Week, SF Sky Show, Opening of Benicia Bridge celebrations. 
  • Manage  all finances, legislative and International port entry requirement. 
  • Communications Officer for ship while in transit – used satellite phone at sea to receive and send messages.

Project Manager

Dreamtime Tracks, Cultural Centre – working with 15 tribes in area - Townsville

  • a Federal Government grant given to the Townsville Cultural Centre.  Had 3 mth & $3000  to produce a promotional pamphlet which turned into a 38-page BOOK and raised $60 000 from 10 sponsors to print 40 000 full colour books featuring Indigenous tourism projects in the area.
  • Coordinated 3 major traditional meetings with 9 tribes held on traditional lands.  Booked and paid for travel for participants, paid traditional owners fees, organized accommodation and food trained Indigenous facilitator of meetings.
  • Coordinated major launch event with 150 First Australians at the cultural center of book and website over 2 days 10 000 people in attendance.
  • Coordinated 2 stage programs – dancers, musicians, didg players – all Indigenous performing arts from around the region.
  • Still coaching and coordinating public speaking programs and adjudicating Lions competitions.
  • Invited by Townsville Mayor, Tony Mooney to join his election team as an independent.  Door knocked more than 3000 households.  Wrote media releases – achieved good results with TV news and Bulletin Articles.  Ran campaign.  Trained volunteers.  Coordinated election day handouts at more than 30 booths around Townsville. Solved individual householder’s issues and used media promotion to promote solutions.

    Conference Coordinator

    National Indigenous Land & Sea Management Conference, Funded by Federal Gov. Cardwell

    • To date still the largest national gathering of Traditional owners in Australia.  Employed in Feb.07 with event in Oct. 07.  Sourced 3.2 million dollars from 27 government and private sector bodies in five months.  Oversaw sponsorship agreements.  Gained State Government grant to employ and train 23 Aborigines for final 3 mths of event.  Managed 23 Indigenous employees.
    • Coordinated National PR and media strategy.  Oversaw all marketing including graphic design, website design and advertising.  * Coordinated 4 stage programs – more than 1000 artists and BONEY M from England 
    • Due to large production facilities for Conference – supported Girringun Board in their aim to hold an Arts Festival.  20,000 people in attendance.  Profit from festival paid salaries for Girringun for following 18 MThs.

    2001 - 2006

    Executive Project Director for President

    Academy of Art University - San Francisco, CA, U.S

    • Assisted Chairman of the Board with research and advice on purchase of – up to 22 million dollar buildings – 5 of them.  Coordinated the crews necessary to renovate, transform into classrooms and accommodations.  Worked with the City Council on permits and major building project works requirements. 
    • Project Manager for National Traveling Exhibition.  Coordinated initial design concept, construction,  touring schedule involving all venue and accommodation bookings to Capital Cities including: New York (3 times), Philadelphia, Chicago, New Orleans, San Diego (3 times), Los Angeles, Miami, and San Francisco.
    • Manned the Exhibition and made over 12 presentations to Media, University officials and Trade Show personnel throughout the U.S.  Audience ranged from 30-3000.
    • Project Manager of Project 79 – Interior and Exterior renovation program.  Total Budget approx. one million dollars.  Included liaison with various vendors and Artistic Directors.
    • Responsible for Academy of Art University Scholarship Programs.  Managed 3 staff.  Program included – Saturday Art Experience twice a year for total of 12 weeks and Summer Art Experience total 6 weeks.  Took enrolment for Summer Art from 300 to 800 in 2 years, plus enrollment in housing – grossing more than a half million in housing fees.  
    • Conducted outreach at various High Schools throughout Bay area and California, flying into Career Days.  Involved majority of speaking presentations to classes.
    • Primary trainer of Academy of Art College support team needed for major events.
    • Support the President as Project Director of diverse special projects e.g. Coordination of 2 month photo-shoot for new web site, summer mural project, X-games promotion.
    • Initially managed 9 telephone operators, included employment, dismissal and training.

    • Facilitated all Media Calls throughout Australia and China.  Introduced the company in front of audiences for 3 years – more than 300 performances.

    • Initiated Eco-Fiesta * Coordinated more than 300 events including Entertainment in the Parks every weekend.
    • Chaired City Image committee and learnt all local government committee and accounting processes
    • Responsible to the Director of Community Cultural Services for Major Annual Cultural Event Management including: ARTS EXPO – 15,000 person attendance over 2 days, coordination of 500 artists, 4 performing stages, 6 professional staff and 50 volunteers.
    • Hosted major events on stage.  Acted as chair introducing all performers and sponsors.  This involved public speaking at more than 50 major events.  Protocol was of the utmost importance.
    • ECO-FIESTA – 10,000-person attendance.  Initiated and named event. Coordination of 167 community organizations, park logistics and public control.
    • Committee member of Mayors City Image Committee – direct liaison with Mayor on various City Image Projects.
    • State committee member for Queensland Youth Performing Arts Association – coordinated State Youth Arts Festival – one-week event, 400 young people from around the state.  Applied for and received Qld Rail sponsorship for youth to attend.
